Now without moving or bouncing the car, hold the gauge, with the dial section at the bottom and zeroed, vertically so it touches the tire sidewall at around the “11” and “7” o’clock positions on the FRONT of the wheel (doesn’t matter which wheel you start with). Rotate the gauge until it is level. Turn the knurled nob in the center until the center caster vial reads 0º. Now turn the wheels back past center to 20º the opposite way - for a total of 40º. Rotate the gauge again to level (DON’T turn knurled knob). Read the caster directly on the center vial. Read to the center of the bubble. Each line. Hold the Dunlop adapter against the rim with the caster/camber gauge at the spindle centerline. Rotate the gauge so the bubble in the small vial closest to you is centered.
